General Conference

I've noticed recently that after every General Conference there is a talk or two that everyone talks about. In October last year it was the one about hope by Pres. Uchdorf. A few conferences back everyone was talking about Pres. Eyring's talk on the journal in which he wrote about how he saw the hand of God in his life every day. I guess I can't remember others specifically but as I watched this General Conference I wondered which talk it would be that I would hear referenced a lot over the next 6 months. I think it will be either Elder Uchdorf's again on discipleship or Elder Bednar's talk on the temple. It could also be the one by Elder Hales about the economic times and how we need to learn to live within our means. Which one stood out to you?

They were all so good. I reall liked Elder Hollands' talk about Christ and the Atonement. Very Touching.

I loved Elder Hales' talk about living prudently. I thought it was especially meaningful because he was extremely successful in his career and probably had plenty of discretionary income, yet he and his wife really seemed to have their financial priorities straight. I loved the story about the coat he wanted to buy her and she asked if it was for her or for him/his reasons. I also liked how he mentioned that you may actually have the money to spend on expensive things, but to think about how many people you could help with that money rather than spending it on yet another "thing." I definitely don't have the money to even worry about this kind of behavior, but I thought it was a great reminder to always keep the Lord at the top of my priorities in all aspects of my life.

I also loved Elder Bednar's talk on the temple. You and I must be thinking alike!

I went to your blog today to find some recent pictures of your kids. Little Orfan Annie, Little Man & the rest, but guess what I found? None. Do they really exist or are they imaginary.

Just a thought.
